We've been listening to the city's fireworks and are watching some movies.
Also had champagne! Omnomnom!

I'm looking forward to a great gaming year with all of you!

Happy new year all of you!

GW2 has only been out for a couple of short months but so far it has been a blast gaming together with you all!

Lets hope the new year will bring as much fun as did 2012.

Remember to drink safe and drive responsibly (or was that the other way around :P) and I'll see you all online in 2013!

Looking back at the DW team compositions in the previous years I remember counting nearly 150 members spread over 7 active divisions in 2006-2007. Who would've thought that someday one team could contain nearly 200 members and stay organized. This requires active team management and community event participation.

I'd like to use this moment to thank all members of the DW Management group for putting so much effort in organising daily events and raising the overall level of activity. Also thanks to all active members who shared their ingame knowledge with others here on the community boards, your input is much appreciated.
Special thanks to two people in particular.. Maloki for her day-to-day guild management, we know you love it and know you have more time for it than any of us at the moment. Refalm for returning this web domain to us, providing an active set of community boards and nice website. Both new and old will find their way (back) to these forums.

We hope you enjoy your time with Dynasty Warriors and that you will be here when we celebrate our 10 years of existence 9th of August, 2013.

Happy Christmas holidays and a Merry Christmas in advance! Watch out with the fireworks, don't do anything stupid to yourself, other people, animals or objects that were not supposed to be blown up.

See you all in the new year :)

We're all a bit different and we'll celebrate different! That also means that some of us will be around and some of us will be on a holiday break, all as should be!

I want to thank you all for this great fall we've had together, and I hope that the coming year and years will be great! Think long term, and when you need a break take a break. Just remember to tell us in the away thread if it's for an extended period of time, I mean as of yet we do not kick any of you for inactivity.

What will the New Year bring? Hopefully a lot more fun, and a few events here and there. The WvW community are really expecting the changes that ANet will bring us in February.
Maybe we'll get a few more members with Guild Wars 2 being under a lot of Christmas Tree's this year, the game of the year and all.

Happy Holidays everyone!
- The [DW] Officer team.

Good to see you're staying :) At least not everyone is hopping onto a T1 bandwagon server  :D
Blog / Why Dynasty Warriors are staying on Far Shiverpeaks
« Last Post by maloki on 12 December 2012, 21:25 »
A few weeks back (last weekend of November) the officers of Dynasty Warriors (and GL ofc) had a guild management meeting where we discussed if we should switch servers or not.

Why we are staying on Far Shiverpeaks:
  • We are a casual PvX guild, even if we have an active WvW team (now we pull at least 20 people to WvW / night, without planned events, and closer to 30 on a planned event). Our members more focused on PvE wouldn't be interested in moving, or care about moving.
  • We want to see the changes from ANet first that will hopefully encourage more WvW. Yes February is far away, but the change will come. And we do get a taste already in the next patch!
  • We are here for the longhaul, this game will be around for years why burn yourself out in the first 6 months. DW has been a community for 9 years, soon 10.
  • We have recruited a lot of new members, under the banner that we are not going anywhere. They need to know that they can trust in what their leaders say. Unlike some guilds (almost applies to all the guilds that have left) where they have said that they will stay and fight and a few days or a week later leaves us a message of their departure.
  • If we started server-hopping there would be no end to it. What would be the criteria for when we would have to move again, dropping one tier? Finishing in second place in a match up? Meeting one guild that didn't treat us well? It is just so much simpler for so many reasons (especially guild management and recruitment) to stay on this server.
  • We do not care about being in T1, we want to find a stable matchup that matches _our server_. No matter which tier that is. Stop and think for a moment where we would have stabilized if we had not fallen to the pressure of "We have to be T1" that some guilds felt, and thus jumped servers and just focused on the amount if time each guild/individual wants to spend in WvW. (I believe we'd still be in t1/t2 without a doubt)
DW is not moving because there would be no end to server jumping, we rather wait for the WvW related patches and locked servers transfers (by locked I mean payed).

Guild: Dynasty Warriors DW
Server: Far Shiverpeaks
Language: English

We are a fully international guild with a lot of European players. Especially Dutch-speaking and Scandinavian. But we also have our fair share of NA and AU players and are looking to extend our roster with more players.
Our main language is English and it is preferred in the guild chat.

Dynasty Warriors started their multigaming community August 2003 with divisions for Diablo2 and Savage. In the years following they expanded towards UT2004, GuildWars, World of Warcraft, Quake4, CounterStrike:Source, Tribes Vengeance, Ogame, Sacred, Enemy Territory QuakeWars.
Eventually only the GuildWars division still existed, consisting of casual players. Most of these members have now moved to GuildWars 2.
Dynasty Warriors are looking for members for:
- Active WvW team
We are in WvW daily, planned or unplanned. We are looking for people who are active any time of the day.
- casual PvX. We do enjoy dungeons, holiday events, crazy jumping puzzles and so forth. As well as sPvP.

Little requirements
- social attitude
- knowledge about the game content and mechanics is a plus, but not necessary. We're very open to teach you anything you want to know as long as you're open to learn.

Other info
- Active WvW team
- Casual core PvX team
- Truly international team. NA, EU and Oceanic!
- Average age ~28
- Average member count 350 (28 AUG '13)
- Family & real life comes before the game, we'll never tell someone they have to be around at a certain event or they'll be kicked
- We use TS3 for voicecoms.
- We allow several guild memberships. If you want to join DW for only WvW that is okay!
- If you are a group of people (friends?) looking to join you can do an application together, just make sure we get all the names ;)
Join us
For practical reasons we need you to fill out a form here on our forums, that you find here, just follow the instructions. ;)

When that's done or while you're doing it contact Wei Yan or Maloki ingame for an invite. Other officers that you can talk to are: Krytan Stranger, Lirael Ellesar or Kaladin Stormlight. Or even our GL Cao Cao, but he's not online as much as the rest of us.

Any questions can be directed at the same people above, in game mail or here on the forum works.

Hi, the link introduction forum didn't work for me

That's because that part of the forum is available only to people with the recuit rank and above. :)
