I would most definitly like to recommend OldBoy, a Korean movie from a director whose biggest fan is Quentin Tarantino. He's got that going for him.

I've been reading the books since the end of season 2, and I can tell you it's going to be awesome.

The books are way, way better than the series though. (although I am a fanboy who read the books long before the televised series came out, so I guess I'm a bit biased)

I've been kinda discurraged by the extremely detailed descriptions of everything I don't care about, like food, songs and foilage... but that's me so the series makes me happy

Don't try reading The Lord Of The Rings if you don't like songs.

Back on topic; Loopers was acctually a good movie, so if you feel like some obvious action it's probably a good gamble ^^

If you liked the first Heavy Metal you should Heavy Metal 2000 if you haven't already, in some ways I liked it better than the first, although I still think the first is over all better.

As for Oldboy that is a great film, and I would recommend it to anyone to see, it has one hell of a twist at the end! Although if you like Oldboy you should see Ichi the Killer.
