Im on the last book of "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Im trying to milk this thing for all its worth I dont want it to end. Anyone know when book 6 "The Winds of Winter" is going to hit the shelves?
George Martin is notorious for the amount of time he takes to write these books. I ran through all of them in about 3 months and then had to wait 4 years for a Dance with Dragons....I guess it possible that with the tv series he may develop a sense of urgency but I doubt it.He usually averages about 4 years per book so I wouldn't get too excited just yet.Enjoy what's available -it may be the case that the TV series finishes before the books do...

I used to think I was the only one who read them, since I've never met another person who had! I'm a huge fan of Grunthor Another good series I'd recommend is Naomi Novik's Temeraire (I'm such a fan of those, I actually have the dragon from the His Majesty's Dragon cover tattooed on my back)I should read those again, but I'm (still) working on getting through Nick Perumov's Keeper of the Swords-series first...
ordered as well, so will soon be reading that
