Net neutrality is on the line by EU officials.
Why is this bad? Let's take the internet provider "UPC" for example (called Sky in UK/Ireland). They have a video on-demand service called "Horizon".
Not many people use it though, everyone is using stuff like Netflix or LOVEFiLM because they offer services way cheaper (and better).
With net neutrality gone, they can throttle anything to their liking, so that watching something on Netflix is either in low resolution or buffering all the time. Further down the line, it's even possible that website owners will have to pay internet providers extra cash to prioritize their content.
But Reflamsen, this wont happens!!!!!1111one!

Me too. Gaming generates a lot of bandwith. All those data over UDP, updates, cloud streaming, VoIP, and all included in the internet package.

also, if you care about these kinda stuff, make sure you vote for the Pirate Party in the European Elections, that's where the action's at.
There's pirate parties in a majority of the European countries participating in the Election in a month!

There are so many reasons why I love living in Switzerland. One of those reasons is, that the folk always has the last word or can have it if it really wants to. :)
I think that's also one of the reasons why there isn't a pirate party in Swi... oh wait; I've just checked Wikipedia. They actually exist here too. It's just that you don't hear much of them. ^^
Edit: According to Wikipedia, they apparently were mostly occupied fighting within their own party. I guess that's what happens if a bunch of people who want a free internet and stuff decide to form a political party, only to notice that many of their other political preferences actually don't match at all. ;)
