Title: How do you grip your mouse?
Post by: Xiahou Hui on 4 November 2014, 16:02
We all hold our mouse a little bit differently, without you even noticing.

How do you hold it?

@work it's mostly fingertip (working with whatever available Mouse there is, but trying to keep my hands clean.

@home I'm working with a mouse that allows me to keep my hand & wrist in a natural & neutral angle.

Palm. I wouldn't have guessed that anybody is holding the mouse in another way (I've only seen older people do so who don't actually are used to using a computer at all), as I find that to be highly unpractical and uncomfortable (even stressful for the hand). =0

Edit: Now that I think of it; when I move around with the mouse, it might sometimes change to fingertip (for the sake of not having to move the entire hand and arm). Or even claw for a short amount of time xD. I've voted palm anyway though, since that's the default-position of my hand.

Claw, I have pretty long fingers so it simply works best for me, although my hand positioning doesn't look as awkward as the picture in Refalms OP :P

Palm, but more diagonal as I wouldn't reach otherwise...

And yes, handling the keyboard is also a bit tricky for me, and probably looks silly to others :D

Edit: Well, how I actually do hold has now been referred to as "gangster style", and giggled at... Very nice of you, guys...  :D
