Depending on what kind of fantasy you would like to read I can recommend authors like Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Raymond E. Feist and Robin Hobb. I have sadly not read the guild wars books, but I have read quite a bit of fantasy so if you can tell me a bit more of what kind of fantasy you like I am sure I can give you better advice as well =)

Like i said before im not that big on the book knowledge. Guild wars books are fantasy adventure books. A group going about accomplishing a task or mission. Guess thats what im kinda looking for. Some other books that fall under that kind of discription would be the LoTR books but i dont want those. Really want something new that i know nothing about.

Hope that helps X.X

Elizabeth Haydon, The Symphony of Ages! Starts with the book Rhapsody. I think others in the guild might agree on this being an awesome series ;)

Naomi Novik, Temeraire series, starts with His Majesty's Dragon. The Napoleonic Wars, with dragons!

Lighter reads might be Eddings, for example The Belgariad and The Malloreon.

I would not recommend Perumov (oh, the annoying, complicated style!), and long series like Jordan's The Wheel of Time or Goodkind's The Sword of Truth (unless you borrow one or two, and like them already).

The books I would recommend, would be from the Forgotten Realms series in D&D.

It is the Drizzt series of books by R.A. Salvatore, they are along the same vein as the gw2 books, a band of heroes fighting their way through difficult challenges, they also have magic, dragons and lots of fantasy. If you then like those, you could open up into other authors who also write in that particular universe. You can get any genre of book, but with a fantasy setting on it.

I would start with (In chronological order):

The Dark Elf Trilogy (Homeland, Exile, Sojourn)
The Icewind Dale Trilogy (The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, The Halfling's Gem)
Dark Mirror, a short story in the Realms of Valor anthology.
The Legacy of the Drow series (The Legacy, Starless Night, Siege of Darkness, Passage to Dawn)
The Paths of Darkness series (The Silent Blade, The Spine of the World, Servant of the Shard, Sea of Swords)
The Hunter's Blade trilogy (The Thousand Orcs, The Lone Drow, The Two Swords)
The Transitions trilogy (The Orc King, The Pirate King, The Ghost King)
The Neverwinter series (Gauntlgrym, Neverwinter, Charon's Claw, The Last Threshold)
The Sundering (The Companions, Book 1)
The Companions Codex series (Night of the Hunter, Rise of the King, Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf). Ongoing.

So far there are 29 books in series. So if you like them, plenty to keep you going.

Hey, I gave you one series, in that setting, if you wanted to get all the novels within Forgotten Realms, it would be over 300. This is something I am collecting, it is my only 'true' collection.

I was expecting you to only maybe, try one or two of them, but put the rest there, to show, if you do like them, it will keep you going ;)
