The one I'm talking about is 2

Haha, okay. :)

Oh, and (belated) happy birthday, Shai! :)

I actually knew you'll have b-day soon, but it wasn't the day yet. And then yesterday I kinda didn't really check the forum (which doesn't happen often), lol. Meh. Anyway! Happy birthday again! ^^

I volunteered at a summer camp once where I prepared grasshoppers as a Fear Factor-ish challenge.

It's pretty funny that people here are grossed out by that, while its a normal food in South-East Asia and Latin America.

Stranger buys grasshoppers too. He claims they're for his spider. Sounds a bit suspicious.

Lol. Enjoy your meal then, I guess. :P

Actually, that reminds me... in military, there's an officer who's a professional chef in a good hotel in his civil life. And when I was in military this year, he had uhm... flour worms? with him, that he had prepared. So some (not me) tasted them and said it actually tastes a bit nuttily and quite decent. The thing that I didn't like about it (I'm not talking about the taste, since I didn't try them) is, that he apparently had to put them into the frying pan alive. Kinda cruel to die like that, even for flour worms.

It also reminds me that I've once (like a year or two ago) seen on TV, that apparently, meat will become very expensive in around 20-30 years or so, and that by then, eating insects will be normal for most people. Apparently, there are cooks already working on meals that let them look more edible and are kinda yummy to eat as well (I remember a picture of rice with flour worms xD). That's because insects are much more efficient in providing proteins, since they need less space, have high reproduction rates and don't "waste" food on producing bodyheat... meaning they build up more proteins for the same amount of food than a pig would for example. Oh, and of course they also eat stuff that we'd throw away.

Edit since there's a new post now: Lol @Refalm. :D

Nope, so not into the idea of eating bugs...

Having issues with disconnects, which keeps me from playing as much as I'd like... But, at least I post more here!  :D

Insects... nah. I'm a walking garbage bin, but even I have limits.

Bugs are not food. That's what cows and pigs are for.

Yes, you are very correct (though I know that others here might disagree). I tend to avoid most things living in water as well, it may just as well stay there :P

Ooh, I won't have your back on that one. Pureblood coast-dwelling Dutchman here. I'm only about 20% human, the rest is fish, cheese and licquorice.

But really, not even sushi? Salmon?

I like most fish myself, but I won't eat any that come in a tin, so sardines, tuna, salmon etc are a no-no.

Other than that, for me I eat anything but almost all vegetables. I could never be a vegetarian or vegan, I would starve. My dad gave me the best line for that, "If God intended for us to be vegetarians, then he would have made cows out of grass"  :D

I heard from Kam that a few people found it strange having salty liquorice, to me that's strange why they wouldn't love it, so not liking fish is no different.
