Saturn, I am SOOOO glad you added that last paragraph there. I think I remember you saying something about the military but GOD DAMN it the first part of the 3rd paragraph just sounded SO wrong since it was somehow completely our of context.

I thought it was kinda clear that I'm currently in military, since I've posted it in the away-thread and probably talked about it a hundred times in guildchat, including when I logged in during the weekends. ^^

Anyway; I'm home since yesterday evening! Doing laundry and stuff now, and also had to go buy some stuff this morning. My cold is still present, but it already started getting better since yesterday evening... it's awesome to be home (and in civil life) again.

But don't take my word for it, here are two instagram videos showing the 2 kitchens full of food.

Gosh... I really wish this would be possible here. I really do. I actually talked to a guy in military who's leading a supermarket (one store) in his normal life about it, and he told me that they indeed throw away LOTS of food. He said that they are in a lucky position since they can give some of it to uhm... what was it... well, some place where poor people can get something to eat if I recall correctly. But that's usually not the case for most other stores, so they just throw it away. And no way to get access to those dumpsters for people who don't work there.

yeah.. it's frustrating when you're unable to solve a big technical issue at customer on site when you know it should be solved in one afternoon because there's a huge to-do list piled up and only a few (pre-paid) project days remaining.
another thing that bothered me today is that something that initially wasn't agreed upon can suddenly be a project blocking issue.. the recognition of document data in all European languages, Arabic and Russian instead of just the ones I've configured (being NL/UK/DE/FR/IT/ES)  Sure... it's possible and I can make it happen.. just not in 2 days

Uff... not like those 5 would already be more than they'd most likely ever need (unless they are a REAAAAALLY big and inernational company). Extra-wishes last minute... awesome. The customer is king. Doesn't change that you'd sometimes love to punch/kick them somewhere where it hurts. ^^
