The only anime movies I ever seen are
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Akira
  • Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies
  • Memories
  • Howl's Moving Castle

And I think they are amazing.

I wouldn't even take me as a Manga/Anime person, but I have two absolute favourites.

Mushishi and Claymore

Myself i've seen so much different anime's that listing here would probably take a full page, but a few i'd recommend are:

Haibane Renmei
Clanned (and much more the sequal 'Clannad Afterstory')
Gintama (tho its a love or hate kind of thing)
Full Metal Alchemist

Probably know a few others aswell but meh, these are the few that pop up right away hehe.

Currently grinding my way through one of the "classics", Dragon Ball.
Some of my all time favourites are:

Code Geas (54) - Psycological
Cowboy Bebop (28) - Space Action
Detroit Metal City (13) - Comedy/Parody
Eureka Seven (51) - Action
FLCL (6) - Mindfuck action, a must see imho ^^
Get Backers (49) - Action/Comedy
Hajime No Ippo (104) - Sport
Kids on the Slope (12) - Drama
Sexy Commando (48) - Comedy

and the one I'm looking forward the most too every week now is Space Brothers (Drama/Comedy).

I've seen a lot but far from everything, but I could probably find a couple of series if you've found a genre you like :)
btw, CodWag on Rooster, mostly plays as Ziluma. Just in case anyone wants to know who I am ^^

I've seen a bit of anime, and I guess it would be a bit much to list all the shows I have watched so I will just write down a few recommendations.

Black Lagoon - Action
Full Metal Panic - Mecha / Comedy (FMP:Fumuffu is a must see if you want to laugh your ass off).
Death Note - Crime (tbh, the categorization of this one is a bit trickey)
Code Geas - Action
Great Teacher Onizuka - Comedy
Hellsing - Horror
Hitman Reborn - Action (kind of narutoish/bleachish, stopped watching after about 100 episodes, need to catch up at some point in time)

Also a great site to find anime episodes to stream is http://www.nwanime.com at least I have found lots of stuff there in the past
Build a man a fire and you'll warm him for a day.
Set a man on fire and you'll warm him for the rest of his life.

I have seen my fair share of anime. I also prefer series over movies.

Currently following:
Naruto Shippuuden
One Piece
Toriko
and some of the newer anime - I don't know if I keep following after just two episodes.

I wouldn't mind watching these anime again:
Skip Beat
Fullmetal Alchemist
Death Note (first 20-or-so episodes)
Hellsing

there are some series that I think are ok, but nothing spectacular :o
code breaker
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
little busters
Btooom
Zetsuen no Tempest
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!

I have the highest hopes for little busters and Zetsuen no tempest.

biggest let down for me was Busou Shinki, since the ONA was good :o
btw, CodWag on Rooster, mostly plays as Ziluma. Just in case anyone wants to know who I am ^^
