It's temporarily working. Sounds like it's in a respirator though.

Yea, that can happen. Friend of mine once had his PC working only when it was tilted a bit. Was a piece of chocolate on a connector that came in through the open side panel -_-

I couldn't figure out yet how to open the case of mine. I've tried it several times when I got it, but couldn't do it... I've watched a video on youtube and I just couldn't find where exactly they pressed and how (bad camera angle I guess). Uff. So no inside-cleaning for my PC.

Depends on what kind of case you have. Premade PCs tend to be hard to open. Can you maybe link what you found on your case. Maybe I, or someone else here, can make more sense out of it :).

Uhm, I could show you some pictures I guess. I've got an ASUS ROG Tytan CG8580 Gaming Desktop, thus I think I won't even need to take pictures myself. Let's see... indeed; there are pictures, but no real good ones of the side where you're supposed to open it xD.

Pic 1

Only good pictures of the other side:

And that's how it should look once opened:

Pic 3

Maybe I just didn't try hard enough, but I don't want to use brute force just to notice afterwards that I didn't get the mechanism right and actually broke it haha.

Maybe I should make a video, but it's standing below my desk and I don't really want to unplug it if not necessary.

Fear my awesome paint skilz.

So for what i could find there is this clamp on the inside of the side panel on the back.

I could not find anything of someone actually opening it but if you cant pull off the cover directly while pushing that clamp. Try to slide the sidepanel towards the back while pushing that clamp.

Next to that. info about the case itself is kind of hard to find I have to say as well as there being multiple types of this case. o well. the cover of this pc should still be easy compared to a alienware aurora case...

Hm, I guess I'll just have to try again. I'll tell you if I've managed to open it. I'm not sure yet when I'll try it, though (but probably soon)... I don't really like to separate it from electricity, because whenever I plug it in and then switch the power-switch on the backside to "on", one of the cutout-switches for my apartment will trigger a couple times. I usually solve it by turning it on again and again with the power-switch of the PC being "On", until it doesn't trigger anymore xD. No idea why that happens. It's not like the PC sucks electricity just from plugging it in... I thought. Whatever. I ain't no expert; but that's why I don't like to plug my PC off... which I probably should do before I try to open the case. ^^

Edit: Thanks for the help. I think I've already tried it with that clamp back then; but I might not have tried hard enough.
